  • Summer Course Registration (Tuesday, May 14, 2013)
    Summer Term 1 and Session 1 course registration closes May 29th at 4:00pm ET. Term 2 registration is open until June 19th and Session 2 registration is open until July 10th. Students may register through ACORN

    Term 1: June 3rd - July 28th                          Session 1: June 3rd - July 7th
    Term 2: June 24th - August 18th                    Session 2: July 15th - August 18th

  • COSC Implementing Single Login for All Students (Thursday, January 3, 2013)
    Beginning on Wednesday, January 9th, students will use one login credential for accessing Blackboard, ACORN (student portal) and Charter Oak email. Students will be able to log into each of these services with their email addresses and email passwords.

    To prepare for the change we are asking students to log into their email.

    Logging into Email:

    1. Go to https://webmail.charteroak.edu
    2. Enter your full @charteroak.edu email address
    3. Enter your email password.

     If you have problems with your password, please contact the Support Center at 860.515.3710 or online at www.charteroak.edu/support and they will help you reset your password.

  • TECH NEWS & UPDATES (Monday, November 12, 2012)
    • Regular System Maintenance -- Maintenance occurs every Wednesday between 6am and 8am ET. Please plan your work around this time.
    • Taking Tests with Mobile Devices -- Charter Oak strongly discourages students from taking quizzes and tests or submitting course work through Blackboard using a mobile or handheld device (iPad, smartphone, etc.). Tech Support offers this and other helpful tips in this article on successful test-taking in Blackboard. 
    • Web Browsers and Blackboard - Since Mozilla.org has moved to a rapid-release upgrade schedule for its Firefox web browser, Blackboard users who use the latest versions of Firefox may experience issues. Contact Technical Support for details.
    • Our Technical Support Center is available 7 days a week to help you log into Blackboard®, Webmail, ACORN, and other Charter Oak systems.
